Well pulling the E-brake when you standing still is one option. You'll have to give gas and let go of the clutch to the point where you can feel the car wants to go and then you let go of the e-brake.

You can also just put your foot on the brake, keep it there and let your clutch come a little bit till the point where the car is ready to move (can't really explain it, the sweet spot ) and then let go of the brake and give gas.

No other ways I know of Don't you have that hill start assist ?

All E90's have the hill assist. If you have your foot on the brake and the clutch, when you move your foot from the brake to the gas, it will hold for about a second. This should give you plenty of time to get over to the gas, and disengage the clutch...

So the trick is to apply the brake before starting again. In this way you get the hill asssist function to work.

something like that. you have to find a deserted hill and play with it.
