Lowering my XI- Help please

So the time has come to lower my car. Im sitting on the stock xi suspension right now. I really like the height of the eibach sport springs that another memeber just had installed. Since they are not made specifically for the xi, are they gonna cause any problems down the road? And if aftermarket springs for an "I" fit an "XI" then would stock sport springs from an "I" fit my "XI"? Thank you everyone.

The stock springs from an i will fit. If you want to drop the front to improve the rake, I have some front springs for an E90 I' sell for $40 shipped. They will put your front at about 14 1/8". Fender to center cap.

the only difference between the xi and i springs as per eibach is a tiny bit of weight diference but the front rake is raised on the xi specific springs
same as the H&R's why this is done I have no idea, either did the engieer i talked to at eibach.
Save some money and just buy the i springs. you won't be disappointed.

This little extra mass probably supports the little extra weight of the xis, as well as a little higher GVWR.

Have brand new H&R sport springs still in the box if you're interested.

If you ever fill up your car with stuff or people and luggage you might have a concern. Approximately speaking, if the xis have about 200lbs extra GVWR and weigh about 200lbs more than the respective i, you are looking at 400lbs less you can carry in your car. (Please correct me if I'm wrong or way off.) You can use the specs. in the manual for the exact amount.

I am slightly confused. There are eibach springs specifically made for an xi? However there is some sort of benefit by putting the set made for an "i" on your xi?

I'm wrong! It is a total loss of approx. 221lbs. Sorry about the confusion. Something is wrong with my logic...

using "I" specific springs on a XI car should be ok. springs are more than ample to handle the weight differences, even though our cars are about 200lbs heavier.
