Seriously thinking green

OK, first post here. Hi folks! Been a reader for quite a while as I became aware that an e90 was in my future. Coming up on my last months of my 4 year lease of my 325. CAN'T WAIT! I've almost never been able to keep a car 4 years. This current lease locked me in. Hate it. Next will be an easier 3 years. Anyway, the 330 I've got specked is green with Terra interior. I personaly think this is the sh*t. Have any of you gone nutty an ordered green? Seems there's very few green e90's around. Personally, I haven't seen one yet. That's one reason I want one. I'm just curious how many of you have even seen a green one in person. I'd love to have such a unique BMW in the garage. Another question is why is green so much less popular than blue? I've got a blue one now and am quite sick of it.

Thanks. Really just curious.

The green is a very nice unique color. I think that Arctic, Barrique, and Deep Green are the most unique beautiful colors.

I have seen 2 green E90s. I guess its rare because in my opinion it's kinda of a more mature and older crowd color. When I think green I think older luxury cars such as Jaguar or Cadillac. The majority of BMW drivers (E90s in particular) seem to be young or semi-young, which is why I think you don't see many green E90s.

Hmmmm.... I guess that makes some sense since I just celebrated my 41st birthday. Man, I'm an old guy now. This is going to be a lease, so I don't care about trying to sell it later. Anyone else want to chime in?

Thanks,

I've seen a few of the dark green on the lot, and I thought they looked outstanding. The ones I saw had a beige interior and looked great, but terra would look IMO.

Why don't we see more of them on the road? We used to, maybe 10 years ago. I think it was a popular color in the 90s, but now the popular colors are silver, black, and gray. It seems like every other car on the road is some shade of silver.

I say go for the green. I think it looks great.

Cool. So it's not just me. People appreciate green. Maybe a hotter color 10 years ago, but that make it rarer today I guess. I'm seriously sick of seeing myself coming and going at every stop sign in my Orient Blue e46. They are EVERYWHERE! A sweet green e90 sounds good to me. :rocks:

to each his own. Especially if it's a lease, get what you like since you get to give it back anyway.

Interesting thing occurred today for me regarding E90 colors. The E90 has been out on the market for well over a year now, and up till now I have never seen one in either Barrique Red, Sonora, or Green. Strangely enough, today I was sitting in my car waiting for my girlfriend. I was watching cars pass by on the road, and I shit you not that in the space of 2 minutes I saw both a Barrique Red, and a Sonora Metallic E90 pass by. How strange is that? So, that still leaves the Deep Green as the only color I have yet to see. Your color would definitely be unique

Hey AS, I've seen Green with terra and it is an awesome combo. I say definitely go for it. It looks excellent in 330 Sport Package mode, gotta love those 18's. Good luck with your choice and keep us posted.

It's definitely not just you. It's a very classy color, and I like the BMW dark blues and greens.

Also, I have to admit, I think the E46 looks great in Orient Blue. You may be sick of it, but I give that a too.

When I went for a test drive there was a green e90 on the lot to test drive and the sales agent turns to me and says... "We have this green one sitting here so that people can see what green looks like, though I don't know why you'd order green. I think it's an awful color."

She was at least 45 years old...

I was *this* close to ordering Green with my Terra, but was afraid it would've been too dark for me. Never got a chance to actually see Green though...
then I saw SG in the showroom, and I was hooked!

I think it would be a good combo, and like it's said - get what YOU like.
BTW - what trim are you getting?

I like the color and the fact that I have never seen or knew there was a green. I never paid attention to it. I think the color looks well with the beige. I have never seen the Terra with green so hard to imagine without pics. I would say go for it if you heart is set on it and be unique!

The green with Terra would be awesome looking, very earthy!

Dark green w/tan leather is more of a traditional British car color, whereas German cars own the dark blues, silvers, and metallic greys.

I like green with either beige, terra, or maybe the new saddle brown. Personally I'm going for either montego or space grey this time around, unless I get cheap and stick with alpine white, which is beautiful in its simplicity.

I agree!

I've seen a handful of deep green 325i's in my area (BK and I hail from the same metro area). My observation is the Deep Green is to green like Monaco Blue is to blue. In other words, from afar the color comes across as being dark and almost close to black. But just like monaco blue (which gets mistaken for black a lot as well), the color is dynamic and in the right light the green hues come alive as in the pic posted by Nikki. Its a nice green.
