In other news are elected officials are spending our money staying in 5 star hotels 7 miles from there home.

Now...don't worry, the fist only hurts for the first few minutes. They say you are supposed to get used to it.

Reading from the blog, if we pay before May 19th, for 2010 sticker then we still pay the old rate?

"Q: Can I pay my fees early to avoid the increase?

A: No. The increase is based on the vehicle registration expiration date. Affected vehicles with a fee due [Expiration] date of May 19, 2009, or later will pay the increase regardless of when payment is received.."

If your registration expires BEFORE May 19, 09 then you are LUCKY (for this year anyway, they'll get you next year!)

Wow. In MD, any car is $90 but you have to get two years at a time.

$600? That's insane.

Just looked mine up. It will cost me $344 in Phoenix next September for one year on the BMW $600 is beyond rediculous. Although I got hosed because Military is usually like $20 a year here UNLESS, you are a resident originally which my wife and I are Should be $20 a year for military regardless of your home state

Here in New Hampshire we have no sales tax so they nail us in Car reg's. I have a 2007 328i base model w/auto. I paid over $600 when new.
Here it's all based on weight, age and base price of car new. I paid $470 a few months ago for the next year.
If someone were to get a new 7 series they would probably pay about $2000

Are you kidding me? They can't raise your payment after the purchase. I'm gonna check my lease docs, but i don't think there is a clause for increased taxes. It says on the paper how many payments and of what amount i have.

I just moved to Cali and so far I have no idea why people love Cali.
VA income tax is 4 or 4.5% and CA is 9%.
VA sale tax is 5% and CA, 8.75%.
Same driving records, my insurance was 120/mo. in VA and CA, it went up to 260/mo.

I'm really feeling hard on all those money going out of my pocket for nothing.
