Lightbulb Official 2009 Bimmerfest La/valley Caravan!

ATTN: ALL OTHER CARAVAN ORGANIZERS PLEASE CONTACT ME SO WE CAN HAVE A MORE PRODUCTIVE, AND THE BIGGEST CARAVAN IN BIMMERFEST HISTORY!

CONTACT: LEEORSHLOMO@GMAIL.COM

Alright everyone, here's the info for the Los Angeles contingent of the So Cal caravan!
SAME ROUTINE AS LAST YEAR!

-General Information-

The Los Angeles portion of the caravan will meet in the parking lot behind Ross, located at:

13750 Riverside Dr.
Sherman Oaks, CA 91423

at 6:30 a.m., May 2, 2009, the morning of Bimmerfest. We will leave at approximately 7:00 a.m., when the San Diego and Orange County portions of the caravan will be merging onto the 101, from the 405. A representative from the Southern caravan will contact us at a set distance from the merger, at which point we will get on the 101, drive the two miles to the 405 and the two caravans will merge together, becoming one huge, BMW entity. This is the goal, of course you never know what might happen. Regardless, we will all work towards making this a safe, unforgettable experience.

With that in mind, there are things that the organizers encourage and others that are not…

Please be on time- The caravan will consist of hundreds of enthusiasts and unfortunately cannot wait for people running late. If you live far away, please come early and plan ahead in case of traffic.

Obey all traffic laws- We cannot and do not advocate the running of traffic lights, stop signs and any other posted traffic laws. This includes the speed limit. With this many cars together (many of which modified) we may draw the attention of the police. What we are doing is not illegal, but we do not want anyone stopped by the police.

Do not race and/or draw undue attention towards yourself- This includes aggressive take-offs at stops and any other behavior that is dangerous or illegal.

Have fun and thanks for participating! For those curious, both Mapquest and Google Maps were used for these directions.
