Not sure but i think you are talking about a product called rain x, they also make a windshield washer fluid that has rain x in it, this makes water bead off. it is kinda like a wax for your windshield.

rain-x works great and it's cheap, you can get it anywhere, aquapel is harder to find and make sure you prep it well too.

I used rain x on a previous vehicle, and it stripped the rubber of the wiper blades... I literally saw a black line of rubber start to form where the blades stopped... Might have been a fluke, but I will never use such a product on the front window again...

Maybe on the rear and sides, but certainy not the front...

Or you can put any paint sealant on your glass and get the same results.

I'll second what picus said. For any Zaino users, I apply Z2Pro to my windshield and it works remarkably well for a long time. I've never noticed any wiper blade degradation.

When I use sealants on cars I always put it on all windows. Sealants won't streak and won't degrade wipers. Waxes can streak, so if you're waxing it's probably a good bet to use something like Aquapel instead.
