My Xenons only turn right?

Hey guys I just had my car serviced at the dealer for a faulty steering rack. Everything turned out perfect (Difeo Bmw) except that I noticed when I turn my steering wheel at night the xenons only move to the right. When I turn the steering wheel back again centering it and try moving it to the left I dont see the headlights move...they stop moving after the steering wheel is centered. I noticed this while parked toward a wall watching the beams against the wall. Do you think this had anything to do with the alignment after installing the new rack? All help is appreciated...

it turn right more than to the left because of oncoming traffic. The lights would shine right into them if they pointed left too much.

When stopped, the steerable xenons point only to the passenger's side, not the driver's side, so as not to blind oncoming drivers who may be waiting at a red light across the intersection.

Has any one seen the Lexus commercial with the deer crossing the road? It appears that their lights turn both left and right.

Once moving they turn both ways. When stopped they wont turn to the left to keep you from blinding oncoming traffic just by turning the wheel.

When i accelerate hard from a stand still they will adjust so i dont blind the person in front of me. So they do move up and down, left and right.

When you turn the steering wheel to the left, the driver side turns 7 degrees while the passenger turns in 15 degrees. When you turn the steering wheel to the right, the driver side turn 15 degrees and the passenger 7 degrees. All of this for oncoming traffic safety.

David, is this documented somewhere or did you experiment/measure yourself?

+1 but when you think about it, turn left or right it doesn't matter about blinding drivers, either way it does! Lexus swivels left and right, that sucks that we don't.

Ahh.. I learned two things today.

1) the steering wheel is telescopic as well as tilt-able. Never knew that and
2) That my lights did actually move when driving. I always had a suspicion, especially when i turn into my driveway, but now I know. I love this forum. Thanks everyone.
