Removing Finisher Rods

Hey guys.

Anyone know someone local that knows how to remove/install the silver finisher rods on the front bumpers of e90's? I've heard that the bumper needs to be removed to gain access, but not sure if that's how it's done.

If it's a simple DIY procedure, anyone care to teach me?

I'm in LA, but willing to drive anywhere near the area. TIA!

Oh, it's super simple. You don't have to remove the bumper. You basically just pull them out. You have to feel along the top because there are some tabs that you can break if you're not careful. I think you pull at the bottom and angle them upward slightly to disengage the tabs along the top. Just be gentle and you'll get it.

Ah, I see. Thanks! Is it the same procedure to reapply them?

pull it up first until you hear the rod move out of that clip and then do that for all clips for the rod...then pull diagonally out. to put them in... put them in diagonally and then make sure the bottoms line up with the bottom plastic piece (for the right and left sides not for the middle). then just push them down and they should be secure.

oh, and you won't break any tabs if you first "disengage" them and then pull them out at the angle. i think the only reason why people broke tabs was because they were simply prying them out without undoing the tabs first.
