Muffler shops that can weld tips in O.C.?
Hey all,
My car is coming out of the bodyshop next week with a hamann quad diffuser. I ordered a set of Cyba SS dual tips and need to get them welded on. Can anyone recommend a shop in Orange County or even Los Angeles that perform this task while retaining my butterfly flap? Thanks in advance. |

The procedure involves a little more then a weld here and there I believe. The tips need to be actually shifted and moved over a couple inches. I believe this involves cutting and welding. I also want to retain the butterfly valve on the exhaust.

Can you show a picture of the tip and the muffler assembly? Sometimes tips are shoved or onto the exhaust pipe coming out of the muffler. If this were the case, spot welding is the solution. The butterfly valve should be a few inches up, away from the tip area.

I've gone to Mesa and they were easy to deal with and reasonably priced. I had an X-pipe/resonator delete on my X5 4.6.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
