Does anyone know the location of the amplifier in the "upgraded" sound system? I have two unused connectors in the rear left cargo area and thought this is where the amp should be hooked up. Thanks.

I thought the "upgraded" sound system was just DSP in the h/u and 2 extra speakers in rear door pillars.

If the external amp. was more powerful, wouldn't it just replace the one in the fixed panel above the left rear wheel?

The sub-woofers under the front seats are also the same.

The unused connectors forward of that location are maybe for BMW Assist and Bluetooth if you don't have both of those in your option package.

There are also hook-ups for the optional CD changer and Sat. Radio in the left rear panel
