2008 M3 executive package
Hey guys. I wassupposed to get my car today, but they had some problems transferring my BMW performance steering wheel from my 335 to the M3. Anyways, all those that got the executive package on your 2008 M3, what did it actually include.
I read some posts about the universal garage door opener not available in the 2008's. I know if you go on BMW.ca website, it lists that as an option, but that is for a 2009. Thanks. |

Yeah, that would have been a handy feature for sure... luckily my opener just happens to fit in the ashtray so not a huge deal for me.

I think you can buy the mirror with the universal garage door opener (it got 3 buttons I think). Not sure how easy it will be to install it though. It's a nice to have but not sure if it's worth it to buy and install

I looked to do exactly that when I picked up my '08 sedan and realized the Homelink mirror was not included. I don't remember the exact numbers but the dealership quoted me a little over $1,000 to have it installed.
Needless to say I put my garage door opener in the ash tray and have been fine with that.

Dealers charge aprox. $1000 or so including installation. I have see the mirrors themselves go $300-400. I think there is a DIY somewhere on here - might be on E90post. Have thought about doing it - maybe one of these days!
