Paint protected by clear bra fade over time/ not?

This may sound stupid to ask before the clear bra installation but..i think i should ask 2nd opinion.

This has been the concern after i had clear bra on my car.

I mean the paint still looks good now and evenly shiny, but what about after 3-4 years? Park under hot sun daily, would my paint start to show different tone on area without clear bra...darker on covered area and etc..?

No it will not. The 3m film allows UV rays to penetrate right through so the paint will be affected by the sun in the same way.

I have been using Clear Bra back to 2000. I had it on a silver Grand Cherokee, and when I peeled it off in 11/2003, the only thing you could see was a dirt line at the edge of where the clear bra used to be. Mother's pre-wax cleaner took it right off.

All 3M products let the UV penetrate. Colors will not change.

Won't fade! Been using it for years with no discoloration!

why'd you peel it off? (just curious). Is this stuff time limited?

(I put a clear bra on our new E90 in early May).

Was trading the vehicle, and I wanted to test the fade theory.
