Lease and Mileage Question...
This probably is not the correct area to post this question, but........
When my lease ends and I turn my car back in, is there a benefit to having a less mileage on it than what I was allowed on the lease? I get 15k miles per year, and with 14 months left of a 36 month lease I just hit 17k. So I may only have around 30k when I was allowed 45k. Thanks, sorry for the dumb question. |

It's only a benefit if you intend to buy the car out at the end of the lease as the buyout price remains the same, but the car is in theory worth more with less mileage.

There is no benefit to you.
Just think, your residual depends on the miles that they think the car will have when turned back in so if you drive less than expected, there will be no reason for them to cut a deal with you. So drive the hell out of it when you do drive it or drive it a lot so you get "Value For Money". |
