Clear Bra Installation on Thurs

Well, the rocks and the paint chips have won. I'm getting clear bra installed this Thursday. Got a pretty good deal on a referrral, so will let everyone know how it goes.

With Mystic Blue, it's suppose to work well.

Yea the usual areas, headlights and mirrors. I'm not installing it myself though.

So, do you already have stone chips on your car? I was contemplating having the clear bra installed as well- I waited too long. Two months later, I now have a one little nick on my hood. At this point, I don't know if its worth installing the clear bra... what do you think???

If you know how to apply tint then you can apply clearbra. The headlight kit is awesome and I put it on every car I have owned.

I have at least 2 or 3 that I know of because I've touched them up. I don't know whether or not the paint will be more rock-proof as it ages more, but I'm getting a pretty good price, so I'm going to get it.

I had my Accord for 7-years and I don't think I ever got a rock chip on that car.

Wow- your accord must've been a happy camper! I'm considering getting the clear bra after I got my first little nick on my hood today.

How much are you paying for the clear bra?

$495 installed and this is a price based on a friend's referral. If you look the 3-series Accessories book, the parts itself from the dealership would be like $390 by itself. He's throwing-in the headlights parts for free.

Hey Calif. What company is doing your install? I'm picking up my car this weekend and want to put one on as soon as possible. Unfortunately it won't be before I drive to LA for the weekend, but shortly thereafter.

I paid about $225 CDN for the hood, mirrors, headlamps and foglights. I went to "Shadow Tint" in Calgary and as it turns out, they do all the BMWs at the dealership... but the dealership tried to sell me the same thing for over $500!

No this is not through the dealer. I'm also getting the bumper done too.

I don't know his actual company name. I just have the person's name. I had left a message before, but didn't catch the actual company name on the v-mail. It's a referral from someone that works for me.

i am starting to get tired to clean up those clear bra line edges on the side skirts. they accumulate dirt so fast. the more i clean them (the upper edges) the more they get peeled over time, i think it wont last very long before i take them down...ouch...its like throwing $$$ into the bin...

i haven't had any problems with this... i do wash, wax & quick detail with the line edge... i think this is key.

Update

Ok got the clear bra installed today. It's 3M.

The hood, bumper, headlights and mirrors are now protected, so hopefully it'll be a few less rock chips.
