what to look for in a 2007 E70 X5

I have 7 months left in my E90 lease.. about to start a family in the next year or so,so time to go bigger I always liked the X5, but a 2009 is not in the budget as I really need to tighten the reigns in this economy.

I drove by my BMW dealer, and my CA, had 3 '07's on the lot, plus let me know that in the next 5 months he personally knows of 20-30 more that are coming off lease, he told me he would watch out for ones that fit my color and option requirements.

I read a bunch of posts here and over there, to avoid the '07 is this simply because it was the first year of production? or are there serious issues with the '07

I am currently also considering a 2007 for the value, but please someone chime in! I have searched, but with not much luck... any help would be appreciated.

I own an 07 X5 4.8i seven passenger and love it...no problems. I also own and 08 3.0 and love it, too. I have zero issues with either.

And if you are looking to save thousands both are for sale...peautry@msn.com
