330d with iDrive - oil level screen?

I am sure I could view the oil level in the iDrive (next to service indicators).

However, its come back from the dealer and th screen has gone.....

Should it be viewable in the iDrive? Guess I gotta go back to dealers and have a moan

Are you sure that you could see it on iDrive?
I ask as before I had my 330d, I had a 3.0i Z4. The oil level on the zed was definitely checked via a display on the dash, so I was confused when I first went to try and check the oil on the d and realised that I actually had to open the bonnet and pull out a dipstick.
I'd checked in the manual beforehand and couldn't see anything about checking the level on iDrive.

Dont think you can bud. You can check when its due oil service but not oil level.

Well, I'd say you're best off not going and kicking off in your dealers...

Dipstick for Diesels.

I cannot view the oil level on my 330d. I have checked it a few times and over 4,000 miles, I have not burnt any yet.

I can certainly check the oil leve via idrive on my facelifted 330d (Oct 2008 build and delivery with new engine), and there's also a dipstick.

Pray tell how as I'd like use it without the usual paper towel & dipstick fuss

The manual states that its dip stick for 6 cylinder diesels and iDrive for the 4 cylinder models
