Alternative way to hardwired your RD (8500) - Added Pics
i did this method because i am having a hard time where to mount the MUTE button (direct wire smartplug) i dont have any problems connecting to fuse panel though..
so here is the alternative way, radioshack is your bestfriend. buy these 25ft UL-Listed Line cord (black) http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2102565 Inline Coupler (white) http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2062677 put the original 8500 12v plug into armrest 12v and connect it to inline coupler. then on the other side connect the line cord. hide it wherever you want and connect to you RD. ill take pics later.. |

here you go. sorry bad pics taken from iphone 3G
1st pic. radar beside rear view. 2nd pic the coupler connected to the radar 12v and telephone cord. hidden between armrest and driver seat. 3rd pic the mute button. you'll get used to it. at first it was difficult to locate on your right hand to locate if you want to mute the RD. |
