BMW Performance Suspension - need part numbers

I'm looking for part numbers for BMW performance shocks, struts and springs for a 135i with sport package.

Anyone have these?

I don't see anything for the rear, but you can scan Real OEM and see if you find anything.

You need springs to complete the kit. They are ordered by VIN depending on whether or not you have sports package or not. Since you do, I can give you the part #'s if you give me the last 7 of your VIN

Rear sway bars are added in a different kit for those without sports package.

The kit can be ordered via our website at www.unitedbmwparts.com at 25% off

Dan, I'll send you the vin numbers offline, but I'm planning to have a local BMW shop install the parts. I'm assuming they will only install the kit if they provide the parts, but I don't know.

Answering your PM now. Give them a call, but they should install it without hesitation providing you give them all the parts needed to install. I've sent plenty of them out

for what it's worth my local BMW shop didn't have any problems installing the parts sourced from Dan. of course I did ask them beforehand.

how does that work? Did you have Dan ship the parts to your BMW dealer?

well, long story short they wouldn't match Dan's prices. In fact, they wouldn't even give me any sort of discount whatsoever (not even 10%). So, there was absolutely no incentive to purchase the parts from the dealership.

That being said, I asked them if they would mind me buying BMW parts from another dealership and having them install it--I asked them if it was ok to ship them directly (thinking that would be only way they would agree to it). They wanted to charge me a holding fee (ridiculous) for picking up the parts. However, they were OK for whatever reason with having the parts shipped to my house, brought in the trunk of my car, and as long as it was BMW parts and not aftermarket, they woud install it. I had to speak to the service manager directly about this.

Yep, some dealerships have their own policy on parts. Some won't match prices, some won't install unless bought at the dealer. It all depends on the management of that particular dealership. If you're only a few hours away, you can swing by United and we'll install the suspension for our guaranteed online price, plus $750.00 labor and $129.00 for an alignment. If you have active steering it's $250.00 for an alignment. Also, if you have a vehicle not equipped with sports package, it's $1250.00 for the labor.

BMW calls for 8 hours total labor for vehicles with sports package, which would be something around $1095.00 + $129.00 for the [non-active steering] alignment

Dan, were you able to locate the part numbers? I'll give them to the shop and if they can't match your prices, then I'll order the parts from you.

Anyone have any thoughts on installing just the performance shocks and struts with the stock springs. I'm trying to preserve the ride quality of the stock suspension, or as much of it as possible anyway.

I noticed that the BMW website states that the suspension kit comes with performance control arms with stiffer bushings, is this true? Below is the statement on the BMW website:

"With a tighter, sportier feeling and lower suspension setting of 15mm in comparison with series-production vehicles, the inclusion of a BMW Performance control arm with stiffer bushings gives your 1 Series an almost instinctual feel for the road. With adjusted spring rates and bushings, roll is drastically reduced, creating cat-like quickness, increased responsiveness, and stunning agility. Flexing with the motion of your vehicle around even the tightest curves, a BMW Performance control arm means athletic handling, faster turn-ins, and a totally immediate and much more intense reaction to the tarmac. It delivers a perfect compromise between racing car performance and driving comfort. (PN: 33 50 0 444 831)"

That's incorrect. The kit can be seen on our website of everything that it includes (except springs). Can you re-send the PM for your last 7 of the VIN? I didn't get anything
