Best Dealers in DC Metro for Service

Hello all-

This is my first post and also my first BMW. I just got back from my ED trip to Germany and will be taking re-delivery in about another 5 agonizing weeks at the PC. My question to all you dc-metro 1 owners is where you take your car for service/warranty work?

I bought my car from a dealer in the midwest so I need to find a dealer in the area that has a good reputation for customer service (i.e. will take care of problems no matter how small, mod friendly, and preferably one that will give you a loaner despite not buying the car there). I realize that this may be asking a lot, but was hoping that there may be one out there.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help.

I've bought a few BMWs from Tischer in Silver Spring and have been happy with their service. I always get a loaner if the wait will be longer than a couple of hours, the quality of their work is good, and scheduling has generally not been a problem.

You might call them to see if you can get free loaners and if mods are an issue.

Thanks for the reply! Based on some of the reviews floating around the internet, there seems to be a general consensus that Tischer is probably the best of a bad lot.

It all depends on where you are, of course.

I've had good experiences with Fairfax BMW. With my previous Z car, I did not buy it there (bought in Philly), it wasn't CPO, and I have no history with them, yet they always performed timely service, never raised an eyebrow at my cosmetic or exhaust mods (and aftermarket stereo), and even did a goodwill-type repair (replaced lights at dealer's discretion) for me just because I asked. They also have a universal loaner policy; its crappy enterprise rentacar, but its still a free car for a day while they service your BMW. High marks.

Opinions are like assholes, but I've heard nothing but bad things about Fairfax BMW.....supposedly Sterling, Passport, and Tischer are good.

Passport

 for Passport BMW in Marlow Hgts.
The service area is top notch and professional. Ask for SA Stephen Heath or Bogdan. These guys are knowledgeable and will not BS you. If they do not know the answer they will tell you they don't, but they will find out and get back to you in no time. Passport also gives you BMW loaners. They will also come to pick up your car and drop off the loaner.
I live in Fairfax County and refuse to take my car to any dealer here. Particularly because of how I was treated when I was looking for my car at Sterling & Fairfax and Arlington BMW's rep preceeds them. I feel sales and service go hand-in-hand. And no I am not that unreasonable, asshat BMW owner.

Tischer BMW. i don't think you're gonna get a loaner tho, but, doesn't hurt to ask.

Tischer BMW is #1 for customer satisfaction in the DC metro area.
www.getbmwparts.com is a great place to get parts.

I'll add my vote for Tischer service. Joe Diss is my SA and he's a good guy. I bought my car from Passport, but was disappointed with my two service experiences there.
