New Aussie Member

Hi everyone. Another Aussie member just signed up.
I've just acquired a 2004 120i.

I originally bought it for work a few weeks ago, but subsequently lost the job 3 days later.
However, the wife likes it sooooo much, we're keeping it.
Hopefully I get another job soon; one that requires me to drive.

Anyway, just introducing myself, and I hope to get lots of tips on how to "pimp my ride" while keeping the warranty intact.

hi choclove23. i had the 120i and really loved it. its a great car and immensely useable in everyday driving. no need to pimp it too much really, but i think it could certainly use a set of non-runflats.

Indeed it is a nice car.
Pimping however, is mandatory. After my last car, I feel that the

1er isn't really mine yet. I can't even get the seating position right. My back hurts.. My last car had custom-fitted racing seats; which incidentally saved my back in the accident (Image).

I'll need to at least lower it by 1" and get 18" rims (most likely black 182s; image below). Then I'll want to increase the sound with exaust and then CAI, maybe. We'll see how carried away I get with this car.

However, if babies come along next year, then it'll just be springs and wheels.

Yes, I also agree that runflats are a bit redic', and the price for Bridgestone 050 in 18"s are ~ $500 each here. However, that does leave the question of what to do for a spare and where to put it?
