Service inclusive, Seal & Protect
Hi Guys,
I am coming close to sealing the deal on a new fully loaded 135i, I beat a healthy discount out of my dealership, but only managed to knock down the seal & protect to £100... Just want to know, has anyone got experience of the service inclusive (how much do you pay per year on servicin for a 1?) and is the seal & protect any good for £100? I wouldn't have got it if it was full price... I did originally go for the 5 year service full inclusive, but backed out of it since I figured yearly servicing can't possibly be as much as what BMW charge you... Any opinions appreciated... -- Jeroen

The service packs are expensive if you do average or below average miles. For example on the 5 year plan you might only get 2 services. It also depends on how long you are planning to keep the car

The wife would use it occasionally when she didn't need the children lugger, otherwise I would, between us we wouldn't do more than 12,000 miles a year... I guess that is "average" mileage?

Yeah thats average. I do the same miles. If you went for the 3 year deal for example. with 18-19k service intervals you may squeeze 2 but probably 1. The first service will only about £160 anyway, brake fluid £80 and second service £240, but if you just missed out by a few weeks you wouldn't be happy would you?
