Rattling Sun Roof

Hey All,

After almost 6 months and 5600 miles I finally found a minor flaw in my 135i. When I have the sun roof all the way open it makes a rattling noise. It sounds like the glass is bouncing around a little bit. Has anyone else noticed this? I think I'll bring it to the dealer soon. Was just wondering if anyone has had this problem and if the dealer was able to fix it to your satisfaction.

My does it when it is in the upright position but not when it is completely retracted.

Kind of annoying on bumpy roads.

I had the same problem after 4000 KM. Took it into BMW and they replaced the sunroof "cassette". Problem solved.

i noticed that rattle one day, and i futzed with it a little, like closed it held the button, opened it, jimmied the glass, and have not noticed it since. but i am monitoring it.

Same problem last summer. They "fixed it" but I have the problem again after opening my sunroof again this spring. Thanks for the help

mine did do this when the sunroof is in vent position. They took off the roof and sunroof and replaced a buncha seals and such. (took a whole day) and fix it. Haven't had a problem since.
