small marks / swirls AW

so this is the second time i washed my car, last week i washed clayed and waxed it. Today in the sun i could notice small marks or swirls that arent too bad ,especially since is alpine white, but if i really look i can see them, so im guessing im doing something wrong? I got a brand new wool wash mit and micro fibers to dry it . I use two buckets and wash 1 section at a time being careful to rinse the wash mitt off each time so dirt doesn't transfer and scratch the car. so whats going on here any suggestions :iono:

The answer is Zaino - do a search - Z5 followed by Z2 and Clear Seal. Swirls will be gone forever. Your paint will have a coat of teflon like protection. It is as simple as that - a Sunday morning will do.

if you have a white car and you have swirl marks, then please don't ever wash your own car again, take it to a professional.

zanio is hand applied and doesnt actually remove swirls more or less fills them... you need a proper abrasive polish and a machine polisher to truly get rid of swirls.

if you have any question feel free to ask

And what will a professional do, that fmxomar can't learn to do also?

My quick tips will be:
- make sure wool mitt is very soft
- never apply too much pressure when washing, especially when drying, and also when polishing/waxing
- claying is not a do every time sort of thing (twice a year tops). Polishing and waxing every few months should be sufficient, with washes in between.

Agreed. It sounds like he did use a soft mit and microfiber to dry, which is why I am wondering if maybe the swirls came from dealer prep of the car??:iono:

Chances are he doesn't have deep swirls, just micro-swirls. I don't recommend abrasing down the clear coat finish on a new car to get rid of micro-swirls. An abrasive treatment is ok if the car is 5 years old, has been abused, unprotected, unsealed and through automatic car wahses and really needs it.

Micro-swirls are easy to get, especially on Jet Black. If you don't see them, are they really there?

The Zaino Z5 will make the micro-swirls un-noticeable the Z2/CS will protect the finish so that it doesn't happen again. When you have done Zaino, your finish acts like it has teflon on it. It becomes easier to wash and repels bird crap, tree sap and tar easily.

that i will agree with...however bro a polish like Menz PO106ff is such a light polish you could safely use it on your car 4 times a year  which for light swirls is perfect. That is what I use on my car now when i start to get some light swirling. damn black cars

you dont need to wax after zaino....and actually i strongly recommend against it due to how zanio products bond with one another.
