Do I need to do anything special for desert cars
I am in Phoenix and just taking delivery of a new 128. The paint is 668 Jet Black Non-metallic.
The car will be kept in the garage at night, but will be in direct sun most of the day. I am planning on Zaino ZKIT1. Do I need anything else? |

Whipped cream?... Ohh you said desert not dessert.
A sunshade for the dash for one. The steeling wheel gets too hot to touch if you dont use one. A good Zaino treatment every 2 months should keep your paint tip top. It's washing to be careful with. I had Jet Black on my 325Ci coupe. There is no avoiding hairline scratches. But, you can minimize them using a good wash rountine. You picked the best color. It's also the most labor intensive to keep looking good. Good Luck. Here's a pic of my 325Ci after 6 years. This was after a treatment of P21s. Still looks great. I miss her.. |

Thanks - would that be the regular whipping cream or the low fat?
I do use the shade even on my truck in the summer..... I have an old classic that I use Maguires, but it is garage kept and does not stand out in the sun. I have seen Zanio mentioned often on this board, so it seems to be the product of choice for the majority of those posting. Nice car... it looks like new... you have done a great job maintaining it. |
