Has this happened to anyone recently getting serviced?

so one of my break rotors is warped and they are ordering me a new one to replace it with... everything else checked out fine and when i took the car in, the wobblyness on the rotors was all i noticed and they told me that it was driveable and everything else is fine...

ok, its afterhours, just got back into town and had my friend pick up the key so i could pick it up now... got in the car started it up, and got the TPMS light in yellow on and red in the little LCD screen... none of my tires look low nor flat....

i tried resetting it and it still stays on. could there be something wrong when they took the tires off the inspect all the rotors? maybe something that wasnt reset I'm unaware of??? which would suck, but im just about ready to ditch the run flats at this point...

man, im getting sick of our BMW dealership here in albuquerque.

I can't believe you warped the rotor. Must have been on those brakes hard.

a possible solution would be to reset the tire pressure which is done through the idrive settings...this used to happen to me all the time on my 645 after new wheels and later rims were put on

This is a stupid questiont but did you never metioned you checked the tire pressure. They are run flats they will not look flat even though they may be losing pressure.

Not a stupid question at all. In fact, the OP's comment about "Well, my run flats don't LOOK flat" was the stupid part.

To the OP: no, this has not happened to anyone recently while getting serviced. Probably because, as someone pointed out, none of us have had to get a warped rotor replaced.

That is bad service. Go to another dealership or complain. The dealership should not be giving you a car back with "lights" on. They should have test drove the car after servicing your brakes and that person should have seen that light. That light is annoying, there's no way you can miss it.

+1,
but no need to get hostile over a little thing like braking too hard
