blah...went to the drag strip...

14.2 @ 102. bogged the launch at about 1500rpm and managed a 2.4 60'. i had a friend with me and i had to take her home by 10ish and there was a spill on the left strip so they shut down for 45 minutes so i only got one run...what a garbage run.
83 degrees and humid
sea level(englishtown NJ)
"worst driver ever" mod.

Are you auto or stick? Launching with the RFTs definitely poses an issue. After a few different trips, I purchased drag radials. Best investment as far as performance is concerned. Now, I just drop them to 20psi, rev to 4500-5000rpm and go. Hooks like a beast. If you plan on going frequently, I'd recommend picking up a set. Much funner hooking up instead of spinning. If not, just practice some more. Good luck.

its manual. traction wasnt the issue last night(though i found the dynomagig toy on the iphone and i had severe traction issues last night after just one launch) i bogged the HELL out of that first launch because i didnt want to spin through first which would kill my 60' so i figured i would play it safe dropping it between 1500 and 2000. i guess not though. ive only been driving stick for 8 weeks so i need a little more practice at the track. brake boosting with my s4 was effortless and yielded consistent 1.6 60's haha.

I'd say ride with a friend that has a manual and see how they would launch it. That or just keep practicing....trial and error my friend. GL.
