United BMW - The Wait Is Over! Performance Suspension

The long awaited BMW Performance suspension is finishing it's final details! I have been in contact with BMW almost DAILY on this subject, and I finally am able to offer you the kit!!!! Yes, the springs are Yellow  as portrayed in the catalogs.

I am currently waiting on the kits to come in, however BMW has changed it up a little. There is no longer one part number for both the sport and non sport-package cars. There are now two different kits depending on what options you have on your car. **VERY IMPORTANT** -- WHEN ORDERING, PROVIDE THE LAST 7 DIGITS OF YOUR VIN (VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER) IN THE ORDER COMMENTS!

*** Springs are sold separately

Kit includes:
- Rear Sway Bar(Not required for Parts Kit # 33 50 0 444 831)
- Front Sway Bar
- Front McPherson Struts (2)
- Rear Shock Absorbers (2)
- Bottom Spring Supports (4)
- Top Spring Supports (4)
- Front Stabiliser arm rubber bearing (2)
- Rear Stabiliser arm rubber bearing (not required for kit # 33 50 0 444 831)
- Rear auxiliary shock absorber (2)
- Front auxiliary shock absorber (2)
- Supporting bearings lower section
- All fastening pieces

Parts needed to order separately
- Front Sport Springs (2)
- Rear Sport Springs (2)

When you order the kit, I'll add the springs in there when you provide your VIN #.

I just updated the spring prices (found out the price just now). You will need to order 2 front, and 2 rear springs along with the kit itself

Dan, those springs will fit our stock 135i suspension? How much would drop the car?

Thanks

Dan, suspension question #1,344,300. How many hours would a dealership charge for the install?
Thanks.

I have the sport suspension on my 135i. How does this suspension differ from the preformance suspension?

BMW calls for 8 hours, and recommended 2 hours for alighment.

The entire suspension has to be taken apart, so it is definitely a time-consuming job.

Since the ZSP cars already have a different suspension, BMW is not changing the sways, but everything else will change

Lowers the car about .5 - .75 inches. As with any suspension kit, improves handling at the cost of quicker wearing tires

So how does this differ from stock 135 suspension. Or how much does it lower stock 135?

so what BMW considers a suspension performance upgrade is just shorter springs?

not shock/spring combo upgrade?

no coilover?

Why would one go this route rather than something aftermarket like H&R?

I'm new to all this.

How do you figure ? his initial post lists parts included in the kit and it sounds pretty comprehensive to me. It actually sounds like its everything BUT the springs.

Why is the same price for 135 with sport package - when sways are not included - surely it should be cheaper?

i'm not sure why so long if you are replacing the springs and struts? if you already have your NEW setup put together, whats taking the old setup out as one and putting new back in as one? If there are any pieces you need in the old suspension, just buy new ones (bushings, washers, etc).

The kit is the same as the E46 and E90.. which replaces a lot components of the stock suspension. Just doing Springs on a normal car will take some time ( can be up to a few hours), but the kit involves replacing the stock pieces of the suspension.

I don't see coilovers here either. Maybe I need an education in suspension.

Ok, what are "auxillary shock absorbers" ? Does anyone have an exploded diagram of the suspension or parts diagram?
