Bluetooth and Voice Control

Whats the difference on the BMW UK website between phones with full and limited compatability?

Seems limited still download phonebook info?

Also, what car you do with the voice control and how good is it?

not necessarily.. limited could mean works 100% but you cant buy a snap in connector, or in some cases it may only work as a handsfree.

google around through as some phones that bmw say are incompatiable like the nokia n series you can get to work perfectly.

the voice control.. basically, you can dial numbers and names by voice, works pretty good.. although some times you get pissed of with the woman when she ignores what you say!

I gave up with the voice control, every time I asked something it either didn't understand or did the opposite.

Never used it since.

I use my voice control all the time, as my phone (samsung G600) isnt fully compatable so i cant get the list on the dash, but you can save numbers to the car with a name, so i did that with my most used 30 or so numbers and don't ever touch the phone.

I find it works really really well

I still won't to know how the 6300 Nokia works with it, but if you change your phone regularly then could be a problem

How often does the cars phone directory update, e.g. when you add a number to your phone?

What can you do with the voice command if you don't have idrive? Can you still change the radio station, cd etc?

Anyone know if it is possible to have two phones paired in the car at the same time on the bluetooth?

I have a work mobile which I'd prefer to use for the data/wap type BMW connect stuff (rss, traffic, nav, weather etc) and a personal one I tend to use for old school style vocal banter.
Am I being too ambitious?
