time from port to west coast?
I hope this isn't a re post but what's the average time for everyone from port to pick up at delivery?
EDIT: sorry i should've been more specific. time from port in Germany to time to dealership pickup. I'm hoping to get my 1 for my bday (7/28) but i don't think its too likely... |

I'm not sure what it is for BMW but for military moves (I shipped from Long Beach) and the car went through Germany (same port BMW ships from) it is about 6 weeks. Now, how much of that is the car just sitting around waiting for other military shipments or other military move type slowdowns but it's about 6 weeks from West Coast to Germany...

As for total time for my car... I still don't know. The dealership told me to expect the car sometime in mid-May, I ended up getting it in early April. I ordered it in early February and didn't track it online or anything. I just got a phone call on a Monday morning from my dealer, expected to hear it was delayed, and instead he told me it arrived a month early and would be there Friday. Exciting moment. |

Here were the dates for my car:
production starts - Mar 26 production ends - Apr 2 leaves port - Apr 14 arrived in Port Hueneme - May 8 arrived in local dealership - May 15 picked up - May 16 The time on the ship was about 24 days. Little over 7 weeks for the whole process from the start of production until I got it my hands. |
