Metal clanking noise coming from passenger rear tire area

So I’ve had my 2019 F90 for a little over 4 years now but in the last few months there been this odd metal clanking noise coming from the passenger rear tire area… initially I though maybe one of the exhaust rubber hangers had gone bad causing the exhaust to move excessively and that was hitting something but the whole exhaust system is pretty secure when I got up under it.

It only happens under 5 mph and when there is a shift in momentum… initial take off or going from reverse to drive… or coming to a stop… I had my son walk next to the car to pin point the sound its for sure coming from the passenger rear wheel area.

Does anyone have any indication what it is? It sounds like two thin sheets of metal hitting each other.

Most likely exhaust hangar. Give it a check. If not that then make sure your suspension and wheel are all secure and in check. I’m not a guru but that’s like the only thing I can think of. Especially since you say it’s just coming from passenger rear. I hope you got this issue resolved!

Second on exhaust hanger I had same noise drove me crazy, I wiggled the exhaust couldn't repeat the noise. While getting the oil changed asked tech to check it out and found that one of the rubbers had fallen off the car. It was still on the exhaust so he hooked it up and no more noise.

Ill double check that again... same for me I put the back end up on jacks and looked at the hangers and everything seemed ok and secure but Ill give it another go

I have a similar symptom. Def not the exhaust as it's repeatable every time starting movement after switching from park. I'm thinking it's the xcase bushing, loose brake pad. Definitely part of the drivetrain.
