Smile Sydney Dyno Day

Hi Guys,

I want to base line my car before I make any changes. I'm going to organise the day as I have a friend who just received his new Subaru Liberty STi. He is keen to modify and I mentioned he should dyno first..

Can you guys let me know if you are interested? I'd like to organise this in the middle of June?

Saturday , 9am. Unsure of cost, but if we can get 4 people MIN (I have 2 committed already) then I'll organise it and let you know of time/costs/location

Cheers
Kris

I hear it's close to 300hp at the wheel!
Oh Andrew, I should have my car by Tuesday...blardy BMW Australia. The car was on the same boat as Kris' car and I am still waiting. My dealer tells me that a 135i vert on the same boat was delivered last Friday, but for some stupid reason BMW Australia has not released mine! They assure me that there is no damage and will show me the manifest if I want.

WAY, 9/10 it's usually delays on the docks... Apparently Port Kembla move stuff VERY fast so that could be way I got mine so quickly. I also put a bit of pressure on my dealer who mind you has been excellent..

How about the weekend of the 14th / 15th of June? My father is down from QLD and I'm sure he'd like to tag along (he is a car nut too!).

That's what the dealer is telling you, but in reality, Michael has already taken the car, and the dealers are frantically looking for a replacement

I did see this black S3 there this morning...

The worse part is now I am free this sat for delivery, but there is no car! But dealer is giving me their 135i coupe for the weekend. It's easy for a factory store, they have heaps, and they don't need to pre sell their demos to customers the way the other dealers do either!

You bloody girls

A dyno is a machine that basically records your torque/horsepower through rollers. You strap the car in, follow a certain program and it graphs the power/torque curve..

Jeff, I'm happy to go over to a dyno with just yourself? I'm sure I can russle up some others..

I just spoke to Andrew from ALS Performance http://www.alsperformance.com.au regarding a possible dyno day for the 14th. I'll know for sure tomorrow if it will be ok.

These guys specialise in tuning of BMWs and will be able to do an oil change for those of us that want to do so before putting on the dyno.

He will also have the Jim Conforti software to be able to do ecu tuning as soon as it is available.

Agree this is the best place to go!

Cool, I'll leave it in your hands then - just get Ben to make sure they'll have oil filters for 135i, Andrew thought it would be the same as 130i but needed to check.
