Unlocked the doors with water pressure!?

So, I was washing my car this evening with the key in my pocket. While shooting water out of the hose at the door handle, the doors unlocked??
At first I thought I had moved my leg in such away that I had accidentally unlocked the car but then It kept happening Lock... Unlock...lock.... Unlock. At first I was like:eyebulge:..... but then I realized that the temp and the pressure of the water was enough to activate the comfort access. Very weird but I thought I would share!

Well, I'm glad you have comfort access. Be even worse if you didn't and it still opened the door!

There was a post about this on e90post. The best solution seems to be:

a) Leave your keys in the house when washing the outside of the car. When the car electronically senses the water on the handle the key will be too far away to unlock.

- OR -

b) Remove the metal valet key from the fob and place the fob inside the car. When the water touching the handle prompts a fob search it will find the fob on the inside and not lock or unlock the doors. The reason for removing the metal key and keeping it with you is to make sure you aren't locked out if CA screws up.
