Floor mats

I have the original 135i mats, the dealership threw them in with the ride. I want to keep them looking perfect so they are in the trunk. I found these floor mats instead what do you guys thinks......I know I know they are dirty, it happends when you go to the beach.

Personnally i think they are really nasty, but i dislike rubber mats even if they are good for protection, i prefer the carpet ones and when they are worn out i will buy a new set.

I don’t get the "i live near sand" argument, you guys heard of a vacuum cleaner!???:iono:

On a serious note, i can see why people go for rubber, but i agree with Kris, there are better looking ones than those, sorry.

I like those mats for their function and fit. They are a little more gray than I'd like, but they seem to fit well.

On a side note.. This is thread number 10 thousand!! :headbang:

That's my take on it also. I drive barefoot a lot and carpet is just much nicer.

Ok this might be harsh but...they look like they belong in a Chevy Aveo, not a 1. BMW makes quality rubber mats For $62 through Dan http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=6218

Spend the money.

I'd second the weathertech option; they're pretty well respected as far as quality of their floor mats.

but on another note congrats on the 10K all. I've only been around since last fall, but it's nice to see how the forum is growing. I remember when it would take at least two or three refreshes before new topics would come up, and I'd read every thread. Now it's impossible to keep up, but that's the way it should be.

I like rubber mats, but personally I don't like those and would not think of purchasing or even using them.

I have the BMW rubber mats in my Z4 now and they look great.

Here's the 1er mats

Although, anything over the crappy stock ones that curl up is an upgrade.

Well, since you ask, I don't care for them, not in character with the car, IMO. My only other brand new car, a 76' Toyota Corolla came stock with rubber mats, even then as a 22 year-old BMW-dreaming young-Turk, I thought rubber floor-mats just plain weird.

Over the years, have rubber floor mats been common as standard equipment in cars?

Just got delivery of my 135i 'vert. They threw in the BMW mats.

Holy moly.. They are CHEAP CRAP!! Ugly, don't match the interior color. Just terrible!!

I got Taupe Boston Leather and the mats are too dark.

What are folks considering? Rubber BMW? Aftermarket?

Help!!!

I had cocomats in my last car. Loved them. They're expensive, but look great and wear well. I didn't care for the stock BMW matts so I ordered another set of cocomats for my 128i.

I hope they throw in mats, and not the cheasy clear plastic ones they had in the BMWs I saw at the dealership, looks like the plastic matting you put under your comp. chair.

I bought the carpeted mats from BMW today I was suprised that they felt so cheap for $130. I will keep these though because they still look way better than the stock rubber mats. I will just wait for DINAN to release theres and all will be well.
