Silver is best, I have Alpine White and it shows a lot of brake dust near the wheels.

When I visited the BMW dealer looking for a 1-series, they asked what color. I said anything but black. Well...

I ended up with a Jet Black 128i because I wanted the manual transmission. Black shows everything, swirl marks and dust are the worst. Black looks great the first day and for about a hours after you wash it.

I agree silver is one of the best colors. Most lighter colors with metallic paint hides a lot of flaws.

Nice thread. I also think that Silver is the easiest color to mantain. Maybe I made a bad choice on a Le Mans Blue. Any experiences on that color or Montego? Is it showing too much swirls or dust?

Cheers

What about Sedona Red?
I currently have a silver benz and you only notice the car is not washed if you stand close to it.
I was going to buy the Le Mans blue, but my family seems to prefer the Sedona Red. I also saw a Saphire Black and its great but you need to wash it every other day.

In another thread, several folks agreed that Sedona was just a notch below the blacks for showing dirt.

I'd never get black again because it's hell to keep clean. especially when you live in a state like FL where it rains too damn much in the summer time.

that and freakin' spring time around here is hell on black cars no thanks to the yellow and green pollen that starts floating around for about a month or so. there's nothing like busting your butt washing a black car for two hours only to have a greenish-yellowish film of pollen on it about two to three hours later.

I know this wasn't on your list of colors, but I have SGM and it seems to be very easy to keep clean as it does not show dirt very much at all. It's a great color from the "maintenance" point of view.........
To answer what you asked....Silver would be easiest to keep clean.
I actually thought about getting silver or black but went with SGM as an "in between" color.

On a related matter, the conventional wisdom I keep hearing from Florida dealers & car buffs is that 'white' is the hardest color to protect from u/v damage. When looking at lot cars, especially CPO cars that tend to be relatively new, that seems to be true.
