Guys,

Pulled the trigger, signed the paperwork and gave 'em the deposit today on the following:

135i Sports
Manual
Sparkling Graphite
Alaska Grey Leather
Sunroof
Comfort Access
Adaptive Headlights
HiFi Loudspeakers (10x speakers)
Cashmere Silver Trim

Delivery expected some time in September.

Thanks to 1addicts for all the research I was able to do over the last week or so!

My dealer told me that, post release and announcement date (19th of May), it would probably blow out to 12 months. Yes, it helped me make the decision - we'll see if it's true. I figured an allocation of 200 units was likely to sell pretty quickly, especially with all the buyers on here!

This was a real toss up. My current car has black leather, so was keen for a change. If the grey was a little darker, I would be 100% happier rather than 99.99% :wink:.

Just couldn't justify it to myself, as much as I wanted it. I really want it, but it would just be for w*nk factor, to be honest and would only use it occasionally.

jcw2006aus...I gotta ask...seat heating? Here in WA?? I was hoping they'd offer seat cooling like in the SAABs.

My wife has absolutely NFI what I'm getting...all she knows is it's a Sedona Red 135i. After all it's going to be my car and she may get to drive it if she's good.

BMW do have a seat cooling system by way of fans mounted in the seat and perforated leather I believe. But not on the 1.

That sucks, I would have ordered that option for sure. In summer its crazy hot on leather!! My bosses Lexus IS250 even has it standard , including heating and its a $60k car

Hmm... I noticed you didn't order iDrive. I would love your comment on how easy/difficult it is to tweak the audio equaliser settings, etc without iDrive. Its hard to justify buying it!

stylish, it's not an option (hehe) to not option iDrive if you order Nav. I just didn't list it for that reason. Just do it, it's only money. I quite like it.

I worked out how to get the car to call Telstra MessageBank (101) last night, just by using Voice Commands and, no, it wasn't in the address book. Quite pleased with myself.

The fact that it impressed my 17 year old passenger was testament to it too :wink: (yeah, I know it's not iDrive, but again "it comes with it").

Matt said he'll take some pics for me tomorrow (ooops, TODAY!), so should have something tonight if I ever get home. I drove the 320i loaner up to Mindarrie yesterday afternoon to visit friends, just so I could do an A vs B comparison tomorrow. I love those adapative headlights.
