50% tint picture?

Does anyone have a picture of any BMW with a 50% tint?
I can't seem to find one. I've seen all 30% tints

for those that are unfamiliar with ceramic films... They do look lighter because they don't give that same mirrored appearance that metallic films do.... so a 50% ceramic film appears lighter than a 50% metallic film, even thought they both let the same amount of light through.

I will be getting ceramic film on my 135i, it just has too many benefits IMO...

^^^ What are the benefits with ceramic tint please?

I had 35% on my TL-S and was too nervous with the NAZI's in northern IL. I might get the 50% on the sides and 35% on the rear, even after I said I would never tint again. It just looks so great.

HOW are BMW's with scratching tint? I know Acura TL's scratch real easy. We were using a felt protector on the rubber seals, but I still was getting scratches. Even though the tint installer guaranteed it wouldn't scratch. And he was a high end tint shop in Lake Bluff, IL that did mostly BMW, MB, Audi.

Jeff,

the benefits of ceramic films are two fold... 1. they reject a lot more heat that metallic films, in ATL that is a big factor for me... 2. they do not interferer with your radar detectors performance where are metallic films do... On the down side, they are a good deal more expensive.

its between 50-100% more than metallic films...

Can't really help with your other QU, last BMW I had tints on was my E36 about 10 years ago... My tint was fine on that car, infact I've never had a problem with any of my cars scratching .

Nope, its definatley 50%, its just the very bright sunlight and teh angle in the second picture that makes the side windows look totally black.

I say 50% is a classier level of tint than the darker shades and may draw a little less attention from the PoPo here in Vancouver

Be aware that cloud cover, angle, exterior color, interior color and several other factors have a been influence over how dark the tint looks.

I wanted a light tint and after spending a few weeks looking around I ended up with 35% pinnacle F1 (I almost went with 50%). On some days you can barely tell it's there. On others it looks fairly dark. The majority of the time it looks only slightly darker than Jam's and a lot lighter than CD's.
