Garage List
Window Tint

Hey all you Marylanders and South Central Pennsylvanians.
I need a recommendation for a top quality window tint shop in the area.

I have Huper Optik you can check it out Saturday. 34% that reads 28% on the meter. There's a good place called TnT tint. Owners name is Matt. I would suggest a ceramic tint rather than metallic due to all of the electronics.

Wondering how much you paid for the tint. I paid 500$ in Michigan. I know it's pricey but didn't have many shops who install it here.

Well I did some work for the guy who tinted my vehicle. We swapped for two cars of Huper Optik. He was charging around 325 a car I think. There was also another installer in southern MD that would come to you for around $425ish. After the 2 cars I had done, my buddy got his car tinted and did not have a good experience. This installer also dropped the Huper line or they dropped him. That's why my next car will go to TNT and Matt.

lol, i've never even heard of ceramic tint, I just though that tint was tint. But, I for sure wasn't going to D&L for it, they rape people on labor and cost of tint.

It is more dense which reduces heat in the cabin up to 10-15%, and ceramic does not interfere with radio waves or your GPS signal.

Well the GPS antenna is on the roof but same concept IE radar detectors, cell phones, etc. Here is a good technical PDF that includes heat blocking etc. I have the ceramic 30 product. I am sure other brands have similar specs:

yes but for me it was worth it for the radar detector alone. I would say it 150-200 more than a quality metallic tint.
