Am ordering an X4 m40i now and several options are gone.

I'm getting ready to order a brand new X4 now, already have it specced out over email with the dealer but just haven't had time to go down in person to finalise it.

Seems like when the clock ticked over to April, which is the new financial year here in Japan, several things got removed.

No more diesel engine options.
In fact, no option except the m40i. 20 and 30 are gone!

No more individual colours.

Trim pieces are carbon fibre only. Oak/Ash are gone

Some seat colours gone too. Only ones now are
- cognac
- oyster
- black
- black with blue stitches
- red

No more blue brake callipers.

HK only.

Base price also went up by about 250k yen, though that's probably just because of the weak yen now.

Maybe this is down to local market, as there are still different engine, trim, and individual options on the UK X4 configurator. No idea if BMW UK would deliver what can currently be configured.

This is probably a regional thing. Perhaps the demand is low in the area/country you are in so the dealer only wants to sell for more expensive options to be profitable.

I’d give it a couple days and recheck. You might have caught it during an update or a glitch.

Both of these ⬆️

They’re going to want to move a fairly expensive vehicle. Make some noise and you’ll likely be accommodated

Perhaps they just want to move what they have in stock, preparing for the next generation

The dealer is closed today and tomorrow. I’m actually headed down Thursday to sign the contract and pay the deposit. Was doing some last minute diddling to check and test some colour combinations.

I know the X4 is likely discontinued and thought it might be a sign that BMW are slowly winding things down. Though you guys are right that the regional market is quite different here. A lot of options simply weren’t even available here when buying my F20.
