Disabling corner lights

Question for you current owners..

Is there anyway to disable the always-on nature of the amber corner lights, having them ONLY come on during signaling?

I have no idea how this would actually LOOK with the headlights on but I'd be interested to see it. Just looked at larryn's post with upgraded halo bulbs, and found the amber light to be aggravating.

If anyone else has an E36, you guys can probably remember we just taped one of the contacts on the bulb to get this effect.. lol..

I did the corner delete mod on my E46 M3. It involved installing a small resistor on the circuit serving the corner blubs. They would only illuminate if the turn signal was given from me.

Great mod as I had titanium dde's installed as well with HID fogs

I'm resurrecting this! Anyone try it yet? It would be good for a few laughs if it really is as easy as the E36 method (tape one bulb contact).

As the day-time running lights can be deactivated via the menu accessible with the upper left-hand stalk, perhaps the ambers are defeated as well, I simply haven't bothered to look.:iono:

Then we'd lose our halo rings. We want to trick the system into thinking the corners are on.

Here's the procedure for the E9X models, shouldn't it be the same for us?

Wow.. that is incredibly complicated. Looks like the E36 days are over. Not going to stop me from trying it, though.
