It greatly reduces the temperature of the air compressed by the turbochargers before getting sent up to the intake in order to reduce the impact of heat soak on a car's performance.

that must be the new inviso piping... cuz i see none!
i have a feeling that that fmic is not gonna be a DIY thing... my fmic for my sti took only 3 hours to install and thats with dremelling and two of my friends and beers 8)

I don't see why it wouldn't be a DIY thing. If you are reasonably mechanically inclined and very careful with your work, you should be able to do it in a day. This is purely speculation until AA gets back with us. Nate

The piping connects to the back of the intercooler. Not the sides so its not visible.

Nice clean job on that intercooler. How much pressure did you lose installing that?
