The M6 wheel aka "**********s is working on it" thread

A lot of 3 series owners have fallen in love with the M6 wheels, and I frankly want to put some on a 1 when mine is delivered (hoping for mid-July). I know there has been about 8 threads on the wheel, but so far, no solutions. I am hoping to consolidate all info onto one thread.

I contacted **********s only yesterday, and I already have had two independent responses from representatives of the company.

The offset of the wheels is really high. Like Subaru WRK high. Over 40!:eyebulge:

The official response is as follows...

"From what I’ve read though, the 1 series requires a really high offset, and that's just with a 19x9 rear. The m6 wheels do not even come in an offset near ET40 for the front with 8.5s. Sit tight and thank you for your patience
I'll get back to you asap!"

I have received another e-mail assuring me that they will check back with their supplier to see what can be done.

*on another note **********s already has suspension mods out on their site, and they are looking for a car to sponsor. If you’re interested, I would contact Ron************.com*

Currently **********s is the most popular seller on E90Post.com (a very popular 3 series site). I have read nothing but nice things about them, and so far they have been nothing but prompt with information. We shall see if they continue that promise. And I will keep you up to date. Maybe if enough of us show interest, they might join our site as well, and you could hear it straight from the horse’s mouth!

And I take that that last pic of the silver 1 with the M6 wheels is an E90 fitment but highly modified to fit?

I dunno, it is on their website. Given it is the hatch, maybe the brakes are smaller and it can fit?

Pardon my ignorance... are brakes the same on the 128 and 135i? I guess not! If smaller brakes means E90 fitment, then come on 128!

No the 135 has six piston in the front and 2 piston in the rear, designed and built by Brembo. The 128 has standard BMW single piston calipers.

official response from **********s

"its like the E46 3 series - which is easy! Cause fitment is there, in the M6 wheels it would be 19x8.5 et35 and 19x9.5 et 40 - would be perfect. And they tested the wheels on a BBK - it did clear and will clear the 135i which I know people are worried about."

"Anyway so there are tons of wheels we can offer to the 1 addicts - like the new CSL's and some other great wheels as well. Pretty exciting car to mod - if not the most exciting hence why i am so focused on it as we all here at the office while still working on the other vehicles."

We need pics of these wheels on a car, so somebody contact Ron or James************. As long as you are willing to take pictures of your car, they should hook you up on the price.

I thought that BMW stayed in house to do the six piston breaks.
