Sprint Booster Installed

Wow is all I have to say.

PS.

I don't want this to turn into another SB does nothing and its a waste of money thread. I am just reporting my personal experience.

I also put in the BMC drop in filter. You can hear the little turbos spooling!

It's a little device that modifies the signal from your accelerator. It modifies the drive by wire signal. Google Sprint Booster. Some people say it does nothing. I have had it on all my cars and love it.

It shorter the travel of the throttle pedal. With it you will have 100% of throttle with just 60% of the pedal travel.

Does BMW approve this, or does it void the warranty?

Im sure they would void the warranty if they were to find the SB was the cause of a warranty claim. I dont see what it can damage as it simply modifies the signal from the accelerator. It takes me about 2 minutes to install and remove. Its truly plug and play.

Does it really need more throttle response.

If there was one thing i wasn't so crazy about on the 135i I drove, it was the tip in felt a little too quick for me. With max torque at just above idle it's pretty twitchy as it is any quicker response would make the gas pedal a hair trigger or "on/off" switch which is desirable in a drag car but not so much so in a curve carver.

BMC drop in. The turbos are clearly audible. Keep in mind Im running much higher boost so that may contribute to the noise coming from the turbos as well.

No canyons in Florida at ALL

Maybe if you go all the way up the panhandle. Otherwise, the most curve you'll get in FL is an on/off ramp lol

Road trip is definitely in the plans once I do the suspension, intercooler, exhaust and cold air intake. The wait for all these things is killing me!

It does the same thing as the "power" button in the m3. It doesn't make the car any faster but moves full throttle from the floor to about 1/2 travel on the accelerator pedal.

Personal preference, really. Seems to me it would make the throttle harder to control, but to each their own.

The exhaust routing is totally different than the 3 series....hopefully it wont take long for options.
