Hey guys, I’ve currently got a set of GTS Style rear lights and im wondering if it’s possible to change them to clears? Rather than buying another set. Is it even possible by dismantling and applying a clear front? I don’t know, I’m no good with this sort of thing🤣

I’d love to have a set of clears!!

Short answer - buy the clear lens ones if readily available.

Lenses are readily available but the rears are plastic welded on using friction/vibration.

Don't attack the job with a dremel or vibrating saw, you want an ultrasonic knife cutter.. a super thin blade that won't remove too much material. I took my GTS foleds off to modify full well knowing they most likely get damaged, sure enough they did so I switched back to my blackline lci's.

I'd have to search on Alibaba again for them but they're definitely available to the public.

Admittedly they tail light lenses only became available to the public in the past few months, so like the headlight lenses they'll be priced a little higher until competition drives them down.

If you do end up buying a new set and want truly clear ones try the V2's, not only are these actually clear lenses (not grey smoked ones like the V1's) but they use a proper replica design with individual led panels, these are the closest we will get to "cheap" GTS lights.. https://streamable.com/ncmgfp



Also for anyone considering front/rear lenses buy from aliexpress/alibaba. No matter who you deal with they're all importing them from the factories on there selling them. I waited 3 months for some to come from Europe which claimed to be "better than Chinese copies" and they were horrific, tabs didn't fit and the lenses had a mottled/orange peel finish on the front which made the light appear hazy. I went direct to the factory sellers on aliexpress in the end and bought an oem grade pair for 70% less.
