Alarm battery is draining normal battery. How to fix?
So I've had battery issues for a while. Basically my main battery drains within a few days.
I tried many things for myself, then gave up and brought it to a garage. He found out, it only drains when the alarm is on. When you lock the car twice, the alarm doesn't turn on, and the battery doesn't drain at all. So he said, the alarm battery is probably bad and keeps charging. Now, how can I fix this? The garage said the battery is embedded in the siren module and he probably can't get that part, but he'll look into it. Is there an easier way to fix this? What kinda costs should I expect? Does anyone happen to have a BMW part number so I can look for myself? Thanks! (2012 e93 btw). |

You could attempt to disassemble the module itself and see whether the batt is replaceable.
