First, welcome to 1Addicts! Now IMO 20" are out of the question. Everyone's taste is different I realize, but those Lexani wheels a) are a poor match for the clean lines of the 1-Series, b) are heavy as boat anchors, and c) probably won't fit. To get 19" lipped wheels under the fenders of a One will depend closely on wheel offset and if you are willing to roll/modify the fenders. Be very careful and test fit if possible.

Hmmm, I'm not sure if 20" wheels will even fit the 1er.
You're going to take a BIG performance hit by using 50lb wheels to :-p. It's like knocking 60 hp off the car.

Go with TSW! I was going to order a set, but the discontinued the model I wanted. I'm now looking to get some Anteras, the wheel shop will install my suspension kit in two weeks time and at the same time we will try out various different wheels in 18-20" size... They said 10" wide with 265 tire at the back will be okay! That will look the business! :headbang:

I'd go with 19s. You could probably get a reasonably wide wheel out back with a spacer. Up front, room is a bit tighter.
We're just messing around. Most of the 135i guys are more performance nuts, than they are big cosmetic modders. First thing many on here will look at on a wheel is weight!

Just trying to gently show you the error of your ways. Enjoy your car for what it is instead of ruining its performance and handling with big heavy wheels. Consider joining the DRIVING fraternity with the 1.

Why would you buy an BMW if you're "not really worried to much about the performance end"?

this thread is great! my honest opinion in ur case would be a light weight set of staggered 19s so you can have the big wheel look and keep the performance the car was intended for.
