I've buffed out a few cars with clear bras and simply stepped down the aggression scale as I assumed the clear material used for the bra was softer than the paint's clearcoat. All results were excellent and the bra's condition was improved along with the rest of the paint. As an example, in one case I remember I used a rotary buffer with a rather agressive cut combo on the painted body panels and then reverted to a ROB with an orange pad for the clear bra. The results were such that the clear bra section looked equal to the rest of the car. I will admit that he had added his clear bra material less than a year before I detailed it on a 3 year old car.
