Devil Eyes...?

Hi,

I ordered my Black Sapphire Metallic + Coral Red Boston Leather 135i and my friends have been egging me on to try putting on some devil eyes (red angel eyes) on the car.

I personally think it would make my BMW look tacky and cheap.
Not to mention: Rice Rocket / Fast and the Furious toy

What do you guys think?

Well, the stock angel eyes project a light-orange color. Red angel eyes would project a red color. Since orange and red are similar, I don't think red angel eyes (devil eyes) would be too far-fetched.
Anyway, I never thought about red angel eyes but after reading this post, I would seriously consider it. It's something different, but not over the top.

Some pics from e90post for reference:

Well I do have plenty of time to think it over.

I'll see how things work out, I just really want to keep my car classy.

I decided to resort to subtle modding.

anything like Alpina / Dinan exterior modding, where if you didnt know much about BMW u would never know it's been modded.

I definately am thinking of some Beyern Wheels though

I think you should install a color wheel into the assembly so that your corona rings could be mood "rings." Then if someone cuts you off you switch to red. Or for the San Fran types you could have it auto shift making a rainbow....lol.

Seriously though it could be okay if done well otherwise it is too similar to undercar neons and sound actuated interior lights....BLAH!

I think this would be a great upgrade providing the cost was not great either! Imagine lining up and your "eyes" were red!!! Very aggressive looking if pulled off right.

I'm on the fence.. me personally, I'd never do it. But I could see the appeal.. especially on say, a crimson red car. For example, here is a rather interestingly photoshopped E92 M3 with red haloes. Very aggressive. I'd never do it, but it is certainly unique.

Those lights might work on a red car...:iono: Not for me, however. Sorry.

Just curious: If you add red lights to the front of your car, are you going to switch your taillights to pure white?

You could look like you were driving down the road backwards! Kewl!
