Eonon AM Radio Tuning
I have an aftermarket Eonon 9465 HU installed in my E90.
I had an odd problem when driving in the NYC area. I wanted to listen to Bloomberg Radio at 1130 Khz. on the AM band. But I found I could tune only to either 1125 or 1134. No frequency that was not divisible-by-9 could be tuned in and neither 1125 or 1134 was 'close enough'. When I got back home I did some internet searching. Evidently this was due to the 'radio region' being set to China -- with Chinese frequency separation. This can be fixed -- but you have to go into the 'factory settings' menu which requires a pass code. This is all explained in and the pass code is provided as well. Hope this helps someone else who finds themselves with a similar issue. (I chose the 'American 2' setting). |
