Less than a month away — anyone going???
I wonder which 1s they will have on display. Can we hope for something other than Sedona Red?

There will be three (3) 1-series vehicles being displayed in the Toronto Autoshow, starting on 2/15/08. (according to the original plan).
The BMW booth will be located in the Rogers Centre. The 3 vehicles will be placed side-by-side, when u r facing them, on the left is the 128i coupe, in the centre 128i cabrio, at the right 135i coupe. (location subject to change). The cabrio, btw, will be in Cashmere Silver with black interior, exactly like the one that I've ordered. |

Sorry, guys, obviously due to the limitations of the venue, they modify the demonstration floorplan/display layout. And by now we all know that the 135i is in AW (alpine white). Yeah baby!

^ I'll be there late morning, tomorrow. Can't wait.
Anyone know if we can sit in them? I assume so if there are three...

Yes. There is one of each (128i, 128i Cab and 135i to sit in).

I was at the autoshow today to check out the car I put a deposit on. The main thing I want to make sure is the back seat space. To my surprise, and my girlfriend's surprise, it has more than enough room for an average size adult in the back. In fact, we believe that it has the same back seat space as the 3er coupe. This is just great to know finally. The red leather is awsome with AW.

Funny when I went to the auto show with a friend on Friday evening, we took turns sitting in the 135 with one person sitting in the front and the other right behind. To be honest, the rear seating in the 135 was very tight with my friend in the front - and she is only 5'5" and I am 5'7". We reversed positions and she found it even tighter than I did (probably due to my seating positions because I'm slightly taller than she is).
We then did this same exercise in the 3 series coupe that was on the floor. HUGE DIFFERENCE. The 3er was so much more roomy and comfortable as well. I am so happy that I ordered the E92 and even though I have the option to change to the 135i, the greater seating space is very important to me. Be careful when sitting in the back seat of the 135i to get a feel of how much space there is. Make sure that the front seat is pulled back far enough for the driver and/or front passenger. |
