Howdy! First post here! I'm out around New Haven, which is basically the middle of nowhere about 55 miles west of STL. I guess that counts as "Saint Louis area."

I'm from Springfield, IL. I'm currently living on the Gulf Coast, but Whenever I'm in town, I make it a point to visit the Broklyn strip clubs, and the Queen. I saw a stripper at Roxy's give some white trash 3 min. of dome for $15. That place is foul, but if your hammered it's fun.

Dudes! I lived in St. Louis until age 44. Now in Dallas.
You don't know how lucky you are to have so many twisty roads West and South of the city! Even Highway 3 through Southern Illinois. Here in North Texas, it's mostly flat and straight as far as the eye can see; a good hill and curve combination can be rare. And... what I wouldn't give for some White Castles, an Imo's pizza, some Rich & Charlie's (or Pasta House) cavatelli, a foot-long polish sausage at Busch stadium, root beer at Fitz's on Delmar, anything at Blueberry Hill, and frozen custard at Ted Drewes. You guys tip your hat to nobody!

Hello fellow StLers, Born and lived in StL most of my life. Currently stationed in Germany until oct 2009. I'll be ordering an 2009 135i, Montego,6MT, black leatherette, gray poplar, sports package, Ipod/USB, prem. stereo.
Yes, St. Louis has some great streets, however, nothing compares to cruising the autobahn. Anyway somebody can send me an Imos deluxe, a case of belly bombers, and a Blueberry Hill blue cheese burger? Go Blues, Rams, and Cards next year (atleast the cubs are out of it). |

You can find frozen White Castles down here in Dallas, but anyone who's had one (or ten) right off the grill will tell you there's no substitute for fresh ones. Oh, man, we used to stack the little empty slider boxes from counter to ceiling!! Who says 640 miles is too far for take-out?!?

We did the drive from Detroit through St. Louie to Fort Worth. The highlights by far were the roads between Springfield IL and Springfield MO. Lots of twisties, Route 66, definitely a big thumbs-up.
A big thumbs-down to OK (Tulsa). Just no comparison to MO. |

Up until october 2007, I was living in Maryland Heights, Just a few minutes from Riverport amphitheater. 2 things I don't miss is the highway 40 clusterf**k, or the moronic drivers who insist on staying in the leftlane with cruise control set at the speed limit.
I do however miss Imos pizza and white castles.
